Everyone in this stream today who genuinely loves God has the opportunity to be made perfect by God. Whether he is young or old, as long as he has a heart to obey and fear God, he will be made perfect by God. God perfects people according to the different functions they perform. As long as you exert all your strength and obey God’s work, you will be made perfect by God. Now you all are not perfect. Some of you can perform one function and some two functions. As long as you exert all your effort for God and expend yourselves for God, you all will be made perfect by God in the end.
Young people have fewer philosophies of life but they lack wisdom and knowledge. As God has come to perfect people in their wisdom and knowledge, his word will supply them with these things. However, young people do not have a stable temperament. They need to be transformed by God in this aspect. Young people have fewer religious notions and fewer philosophies of life, think about things in a simple way, and consider things in an uncomplicated way. These are the unformed aspects of their humanity and are their merits. Yet young people are ignorant and short of wisdom. They need to be perfected by God in this aspect, so that they can gain discernment and see through many things in the spirit and gradually become fit for God to use. Older brothers and sisters are also fit for some functions. God does not abandon them. Older brothers and sisters have merits and demerits. They have more philosophies of life, more religious notions, and more principles of doing things. They are prone to do things in a mechanical way and in a set pattern, being inflexible and too stereotyped. These are their demerits. However, older brothers and sisters are composed and self-possessed when encountering things. They have a stable temperament and are not inconsistent but persistent. Yet they are a little slow in understanding things. But that is not a big problem. As long as you can be obedient and accept God’s practical word, you should just obey and follow it. You should under no circumstance pass judgments on it or have any bad thoughts about it but should just practice it after you receive it. You should not research it but should just obey it. If you can do so, you will be made perfect.
Both young and older brothers and sisters should know the functions you should perform. Young brothers and sisters should not be arrogant, and older brothers and sisters should not be passive or draw back. But you should learn from each other and help each other, minister to each other, and hold no prejudice against each other, so that a bridge of friendship may be built between you and you can understand each other better through God’s love. Young brothers and sisters do not belittle older brothers and sisters, and older brothers and sisters do not consider themselves to be always right. Isn’t this a harmonious coordination? If you have such a resolution, the will of God will be accomplished through your generation.
Whether you will receive blessing or suffer punishment in the future depends on what you do today. If you want to be made perfect by God, the present age is the time. There will be no more opportunity in the future. Now God indeed wants to make you perfect. This is not a way of speaking. In the future, no matter what trial comes to you, what happens to you, or what disaster comes to you, God will make you perfect. This is beyond doubt. From what can we see this? From the fact that God’s speaking has never reached the highest stage or entered the highest state in the past ages and generations as today and the Holy Spirit’s working on all the people is unprecedented. Hardly anyone in the past generations had ever experienced this. Even in the age of Jesus, people did not receive such revelation as the revelation of today. The words spoken to you, the things you understand, and the things you experience are the highest. The fact that you people do not leave even in trials or chastisements is sufficient to prove that God’s work is unparalleled. It cannot be done by man and is not upheld by man but done by God Godself. Therefore, from many facts of God’s work, it can be seen that God wants to make you perfect and he can surely make you complete. If you have seen this and have discovered this new thing, you will no longer wait for the second coming of Jesus but will have yourself made complete by God in this age. Therefore, each of you should do all you can and spare no effort to have yourself made perfect by God.
Now you should not pay attention to negative things. Lay aside everything that may cause you to be passive. When you do things, do them with a seeking and groping heart and with a heart of obeying God. When you find that you are weak in something, do not be restrained by it but just perform the functions you should perform. This means that you are making progress actively. For example, older brother or sister have religious notions, yet you can pray, obey, eat and drink God’s word, and sing hymns.... In short, do your utmost and exert all your strength to do whatever you can do and perform whatever function you can perform; do not wait passively. Being able to satisfy God in performing your duty is the first step. If you can then understand the truth and enter into the reality of God’s word, you will be made perfect by God.
