182. Song X, male, 76 years old, from Huairen County, the chief president of the Association of Catholicism. In August 1999, some gospel preachers preached Almighty God’s end-time work to the brothers and sisters of a meeting place in his county, and they all accepted it. After Song learnt that, he harbored a deep hatred against the gospel preachers and reported them to the Department of United Front Work. He said, “The believers in Almighty God have come. What they preach is a cult.” Moreover, he took the village cadres to make trouble for the gospel preachers. In November 1999, Song got lung cancer. Then he became paralyzed and was unable to speak. On January 15, 2000, he died. His death was a punishment for resisting Almighty God and betraying the Lord for his wealth and honor.

183. Gong X, female, 35 years old, from Yuanpuzi Town in Youyu County, a worker from the Way of Life Church. At the end of April 2000, someone preached God’s end-time work to her, but she shouted abuse, “May you and your whole family be cursed. Go away. Never come again.” Moreover, she openly condemned God’s work when preaching, which greatly obstructed the gospel work in Youyu, Shanyin and some other areas. On March 28, 2001, Gong’s husband was killed in a traffic accident. At that time, her husband sat between the driver and another person in the truck 153. But strangely enough, when the truck collided with an oncoming mini-bus, the other two were unharmed, but only her husband was killed outright, his legs and arms broken, his chin stuck into his skull, and a big hole knocked in the back of his head. On hearing the news, Gong was overwhelmed by grief. She cursed others, while the disaster befell herself!

184. Liu X, male, 74 years old, from Wutai County, a leader from the Justification by Faith Church. In late October 1997, someone preached God’s end-time work to him. After listening to the testimony, he said, “If he who preached Jesus to me accepts it, I will too; if he doesn’t, neither will I.” (Here “he” referred to Liu’s leader.) Over two months later, one day, that is on January 28, 1998 (just on the lunar New Year’s Day), Liu suddenly became breathless and streamed with sweat. After having an examination at the hospital, he was diagnosed with emphysema and heart disease. In the autumn of 1998, some other people went to fellowship with him many times. In the end he said, “What you have fellowshipped all conforms to the Bible. It is the truth. You can keep your faith in it, but I will still believe in my God. Others are not afraid of going to hell; neither am I.” After that, Liu’s condition got worse and worse. On October 18, 1998, Liu went to a Sunday meeting and he never stood up from his chair: he had gone to the netherworld. This is the consequence of following man! God fulfilled his request for going to hell.

185. Wang X, male, 49 years old, from Lanxian County, a senior leader from the Third Redemption sect. In December 1997, when Wang heard that four brothers and sisters of his sect had accepted God’s end-time gospel, he went to disturb them and said, “Don’t listen to what they preach. It is not right.” But they didn’t listen to him. In September 1998, someone preached the gospel to the people of his sect again. After Wang learned that, he closed their meeting places to outsiders and told the people not to receive any strangers. On October 27 of the same year, Wang went to attend a meeting. On the way, when he approached a mine truck which no one operated parked on the slope, he suddenly noticed the truck was sliding backwards toward him. Very quickly he dodged to the side of a drainage ditch. But it seemed that the truck was chasing him on purpose. When it slid next to him, it abruptly turned and rushed toward him. And in a twinkling, the back door of the mine truck opened widely, and the ores were dumped on him like merciless hails. Wang was immediately crushed with his brains dashed out and buried in the ores. It may well be said that misfortune pursues the wicked!

186. Chen X, female, 43 years old, from Linxian County, a senior leader from the Three Grades of Servants Church. In June 1998, after Chen listened to the testimony about God’s end-time work, she accepted it then. But later she was disturbed by the maidservants and workers and went back to her former denomination. Afterwards, she went everywhere to close their meeting places to outsiders and slandered and blasphemed God’s word, “How can it be God’s word? It’s similar to the Red Flag. I can write it, too.” On January 16, 2001, a brother gave her a set of cassettes and a songbook of praising Almighty God. She not only didn’t cherish this opportunity, but resisted God’s work even more furiously. On January 18, 2001 (on the twenty-fourth of the twelfth month of the lunar year), taking some materials resisting Almighty God with her, Chen, together with other five maidservants and workers, drove a jeep to a town to close their meeting places to outsiders. Around 8:00 p.m., when passing a curve, the jeep suddenly slammed into the side of the mountain. Running at high speed, the jeep, like a cannonball, ricocheted off the mountainside and fell off the cliff, with its rear stuck in an ice hole at the bottom of the cliff. On hearing the sound, the local villagers rushed there and pulled them out through the windows. Chen injured her head badly and spat blood. No sooner had she been sent to the local hospital than she breathed her last. Another worker Liu from other place (male, 20 years old) was also injured so badly that he was covered with blood, and even the local hospital dared not accept him, so he had to be sent to another hospital for emergency treatment. All rescue attempts failed, and he died on January 19, 2001 (on the twenty-fifth of the twelfth month of the lunar year). Of the other four, one was severely injured and three slightly. How could these people, who ganged together to resist God’s work, escape God’s punishment? Just as it is said in the Bible: “Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished!”
