2. The Five Main Manifestations of the Transformation of One’s Nature

The transformation of one’s nature mainly means the transformation of his innate nature of resisting and rebelling against God, which has been corrupted by satan, and it mainly means the transformation of his corrupt nature. Of course, the obvious transformation means the transformation of his thinking and notions, likes and dislikes, love and hate, goal of pursuit, viewpoints on things, and way of living. After experiencing God’s judgment and chastisement, everyone will at least gain varying degrees of transformation in his thinking, viewpoints on things, or actions and behavior. As long as you have a genuine heart to believe in God and thirst for God’s word, you will be able to gain some knowledge of God and of the truth in God’s word, and thus you will be transformed by God’s word naturally. Some people think that if one, after believing in God, has gained transformation in his behavior, speaking and doing things according to the Bible, it means that he has been transformed in his nature. That cannot be more wrong! The transformation of one’s nature required by God mainly means the substantive transformation in his life, and mainly means the transformation of his innate nature of resisting and rebelling against God. In other words, as one has gained the truth from God’s word, his pursuit has changed, his path of life has changed, and the foundation of his existence and his values about his existence have completely changed. These are the results of the transformation of one’s life nature. God’s judgment and chastisement is a work of changing men and transforming their corrupt nature. After corrupt men have experienced God’s judgment and chastisement, their old man will have died and their new man will have been born of God’s word. When we have God’s word in us as life, we will have become a new creation. After one has experienced the work of God’s word for a period of time, his life nature will be gradually transformed. There are mainly the following manifestations:

The first manifestation of one whose nature has been transformed is that he at least has a heart that fears God. Because of being judged and chastised by God’s word, he is sincerely convinced and thus falls to the ground. From then on, he has a heart that fears God. In experiencing the judgment and chastisement of God’s word, he who fears God will feel deep in his heart that God’s majesty and wrath does not tolerate man’s offense. Of course, he cannot have such a feeling simply by reading God’s word, but it is after he has experienced much of the Holy Spirit’s work that he has a feeling that God’s word is like a sharp two-edged sword, majestic and tolerant of no offense. He who has a heart that fears God has definitely received a lot of discipline of God and even the punishment of God. Without such experiences, he would not possibly have a heart that truly fears God. He who has a heart that fears God has a place for God in his heart. In everything, he will feel he has to pay attention to God’s will. Especially in important matters, he will not dare to decide them for himself lightly but will always pray to God and seek what God’s intention is actually. For example, in the matters that have to do with his path of life or have to do with the principles of the truth, he will not dare to be careless or let them go easily; when faced with choices between the right and wrong of important matters, he can drop his own will and forsake his flesh to obey God and satisfy God. This is the manifestation of one who has a heart that fears God. He who has a heart that fears God will surely be much more well-disciplined and honest than people in general. In doing things, he will be low-key, not as arrogant as before, and no matter what he does, he will be comparatively composed and prudent, not as reckless and rash as young people. When one has a heart that fears God, it can be said that he has made a start in the transformation of his life nature. Of course, this will only be true with those who are experiencing God’s work of word. As for those in religion, although a few of them have ever been disciplined by God and have some fear of God, they cannot possibly be transformed in their life nature as they have not experienced the judgment and chastisement of God’s word. If one has a heart that fears God, it is completely the result achieved through his experiencing the judgment and chastisement of God’s word, and is the result achieved through his reading God’s word and pursuing the truth and thus receiving the working of the Holy Spirit. Those who learn theology and study the Bible are arrogant and conceited, and they even dare to condemn God’s work. It can be seen that they do not have a heart that fears God at all. So, having a heart that fears God is one manifestation that those whose nature has been transformed will at least have.

The second manifestation of the transformation of one’s nature is that he can obey God’s manipulation and arrangements. Regardless of how God works, how God treats him, or how contrary what God does is to his will, he will have no notions about it, much less have complaints about it, and he can be obedient to it. He can reach such a state. Although he may have gone through many experiences and lessons of failure, he has truly realized that all God’s arrangements and manipulation are most proper and meaningful, and that no matter what God does, it is beneficial to man. Especially in the matters in which the majority of people most easily have notions about God, he can see that what God does is most meaningful and is most worthy to be remembered and proclaimed. He will no longer have choices about what God does, because he has realized that whatever God does is really good, and that the more it is beyond man’s capacity to comprehend, the more significant it is. Only when one has experienced to such an extent will he truly obey God. Those who always have their own choices, that is, those who always pray to God and ask God to do things according to their own will when encountering things, are all the ones who disobey God and are all the ones whom God loathes. They are far from truly obeying God. Because they have experienced very little of God’s work and have too shallow knowledge of God, they have too many ideas of their own and make too many demands of God. Those whose nature has been transformed will have more obedience and make fewer personal demands, so in others’ eyes, they do not seem to have much feeling or many reactions to what God does. In fact, they know it very well in their hearts, and they are obedient to it and thankful for it in their hearts. This is the second manifestation of the transformation of one’s nature.
