How much love do you have for God now? How much do you know about what God does on you? These are the lessons you should learn. When God comes to earth, what he does on people and what he causes people to see are for the sole purpose that they will love him and have a true knowledge of him. People can suffer for God and follow him until today because of God’s love, because of God’s salvation, and even more because of the judgment God carries out on them and the work of chastisement God does on them. Without God’s judgment and chastisement, without God’s trials, and without the sufferings God gives to you, to tell you the truth, you would not have a genuine love for God. The greater work God does on people, the more they will suffer, the more it will show that God’s work is of great significance, and the more their hearts will love God genuinely. How can you learn to love God? If you do not undergo painful refining or painful trials and God only bestows grace and love and mercy upon you, could you genuinely love God? On the one hand, in trials God causes people to know their deficiencies and see that they are small, base, low, have nothing, and are nothing; on the other hand, in trials God puts them in some circumstances so that they can experience God’s loveliness more in such circumstances. Although they suffer greatly and sometimes cannot overcome and even feel extremely grieved, after that they will see that the work God does on them is really lovely. On this basis, they will have a genuine love for God. Today people have seen that if they only enjoy God’s grace, love, and mercy, they cannot truly know themselves, much less know their essence. Only through God’s judging and refining you will you in the refining know your deficiencies and know that you have nothing. Therefore, people’s love for God is built upon God’s refining and judgment. If you only enjoy God’s grace, having a peaceful family or receiving material blessings, it does not mean that you have gained God or you have succeeded in believing in God. God came into the flesh and did a work of grace and truly gave people some material blessings. But he cannot make people perfect by grace, love, and mercy alone. In people’s experience, they tasted some of God’s love and saw God’s love and mercy. But after experiencing for a period of time, they saw that his grace, love, and mercy could not make them perfect, could not expose the corrupt things in them or get rid of their corrupt nature, and could not perfect their love or their faith. God’s work of grace is only a work for one period. People cannot know God by enjoying his grace.

By what means does God perfect people? By his righteous nature. God’s nature mainly includes righteousness, wrath, majesty, judgment, and curse. He perfects people mainly by means of judgment. Some people do not understand this and say, “Why does God have to perfect men by judgment and curse?” They say, “If God curses men, won’t they die? If God judges men, won’t they be condemned? Then how can they be made perfect?” These are the words of those who do not know God’s work. What God curses is men’s disobedience, and what he judges is men’s sin. Although he speaks stern words to men without sparing their feelings at all, exposes everything within men, and exposes the things of men’s substance within them by some stern words, just by such means of judgment he causes them all to have a deep knowledge of the substance of the flesh and thus become obedient before God. Man’s flesh is of sin and of satan. The flesh is something disobedient and is the object of God’s chastisement. So, in order to cause people to know themselves, God has to speak words of judgment to them and then refine them by every possible means. Only then will God’s work achieve results.

From God’s words, it can be seen that God has condemned man’s flesh. Then are they words of curse or not? All the words God speaks expose men’s true self. Through such exposing, he judges you. When you see that you cannot satisfy God’s heart’s desire, you will feel remorseful and sorrowful within and feel that you are so indebted to God and fall short of God’s heart’s desire. Sometimes the Holy Spirit disciplines you within, and such discipline is God’s judgment. Sometimes God rebukes you, hides his face from you, disregards you, and does not work on you, refining you with a silent chastisement. The work God does on people is mainly to manifest his righteous nature. What testimony will people bear for God in the end? They will testify that God is a righteous God, that his nature is righteousness and wrath as well as chastisement and judgment. They will testify about God’s righteous nature. God perfects people by his judgment. God has been loving man and saving man. But how many things does his love contain? It contains judgment, majesty, wrath, and curse. In the past, although God cursed people, he did not completely put them into the bottomless pit. He refined their faith through that means. He did not put them to death but intended to perfect them. The substance of the flesh is something of satan, which is exactly as what God has said, but God has not done things according to his words. He curses you for the purpose that you will love him and know the substance of the flesh. He chastises you for the purpose that you will wake up and know your inner deficiencies and your unworthiness. Therefore, God’s curse, judgment, majesty, and wrath are all for perfecting people. What God does now and the righteous nature he manifests in you are for perfecting you. This is God’s love.
