Today I will mainly fellowship about how a believer in God should serve God, what qualifications a person who serves God should have, what things he should understand, and what errors exist in your serving God. All these are what you should understand. These things have to do with how you should believe in God and how you can step onto the path led by the Holy Spirit and let God control you in everything as he wishes, so that you may know every work God does on you. When you have reached such a state, you will know what it really means to believe in God, how you can believe in God successfully, and how you can act according to God’s heart’s desire, so that you will be completely obedient to whatever God does and have no complaint about it, neither judging nor analyzing it, much less researching it, even to the point that you all can be obedient to God unto death and let God lead or slaughter you like a sheep as he wishes, so that every one of you can become a Peter of modern times and can love God to the uttermost without any complaint even on the cross. Only then will it mean that you have lived out the style of Peter of modern times.

Everyone who has the will to serve God may serve him, but only those who care for and understand God’s intention is qualified and entitled to serve him. It can be seen from your experiences that many of you believe that to serve God is to preach for God, run for God, expend yourselves for God, give up your interests for God with a fervent heart, and so on; many religious people believe that to serve God is to preach the good news of the kingdom of heaven according to the Bible everywhere and ask people to repent and confess their sins so that they may be saved; many religious officials believe that to serve God is to deliver sermons in the churches and teach people by the verses of the Bible after studying and being trained in a theological school; many brothers and sisters on this path believe that to serve God is to dedicate their whole being for God without getting married or building a family all their life; some people in the “poor places” believe that to serve God is to heal the brothers and sisters of their sicknesses, drive demons out of them, intercede for them, and minister to them; many among you believe that to serve God is to eat and drink God’s word and pray to God every day and walk among the churches; or some say that to serve God is just to live the church life. But very few understand what it really means to serve God. Although those who serve God are as numerous as stars, very few, too few to mention, can directly serve God or serve God after his heart’s desire. Why do I say so? Because you do not understand the substance of the words “serving God,” and you understand too little about how to serve God after his heart’s desire. Today I will mainly fellowship about what kind of service is according to God’s heart’s desire and how to serve God to satisfy his heart’s desire.

If you want to serve God after his heart’s desire, you need to first understand what kind of people God is pleased with, what kind of people he hates, what kind of people he perfects, and what kind of people are qualified to serve him. You should at least understand these. Moreover, you should understand what is God’s purpose in doing the work and what work he is doing now. After you understand these, you should first enter into God’s word through its guidance and receive God’s commission. When you have practical experience of God’s word and have true knowledge of his work, you will be qualified to serve him. God will open your spiritual eyes during your serving him, so that you will know his work better and be clearer about it. When you have entered into this reality, you will have a deeper and more practical experience. All those who have such experience will be qualified to walk among the churches supplying the brothers and sisters, so that you may learn from each other and complement each other and have richer knowledge in your spirit. Only after you have achieved such a result will you be able to serve God after his heart’s desire and be made perfect by him during your serving him.

Those who can serve God should be God’s close friend with whom God is pleased and who can be absolutely faithful to God. If what you do behind others’ backs and to their faces can please God and stand before God and you can continue to walk the path you should walk and care for God’s burden no matter how others treat you, you are a close friend of God. A close friend of God can serve God directly, because he has God’s great commission and God’s burden, he cares for God’s heart as his heart and God’s burden his burden, and he does not consider his future gains or losses, and he believes in God with a “heart” that loves God even if he may get nothing and gain nothing in the future. Hence, such a person is a close friend of God. A close friend of God is God’s intimate friend. Only God’s intimate friend will worry what God worries and think what God thinks. Although his flesh may suffer and be weak, he can endure the pain of giving up what he loves so as to satisfy God. God will give such a person more burdens, and he will express through such a person what he wants to do. So, such a person is one with whom God is pleased and one who serves God according to his heart’s desire. Only such a person can reign and rule with God. When you truly become a close friend of God, you will be able to reign and rule with God.
