Although there are many people who believe in God, few understand what it means to believe in God and what they can do to be after God’s heart. The very reason is that although people know the word “God” and the words like “God’s work,” they do not know God, much less God’s work. It is no wonder that all those who do not know God believe in him in a foolish way. People are not serious with the matter of belief in God, entirely because they are too unfamiliar with it and too strange to it. Thus, they fall far short of God’s requirement. In other words, if people do not know God or God’s work, they cannot be fit for God’s use, much less satisfy God’s heart’s desire. “Belief in God” means to believe that there is a God. This is the simplest concept of “belief in God.” To go a step further, to believe that there is a God is not true belief in God but a simple belief, which has a strong religious color. True “belief in God” means that on the foundation of believing that God is the ruler of all things, a person experiences God’s word and work and thus gets rid of his corrupt nature, satisfies God’s heart’s desire, and knows God. Such a process is belief in God. However, people often take the matter of belief in God as something very simple and light. Thus, with those who believe in God this way, their belief has lost its meaning. Even if they believe to the end, they won’t receive God’s commendation, because the path they take is not right. Those who still believe in God according to letters and empty doctrines now are still unaware that they are actually not believing in God and cannot receive God’s commendation. They are still praying to God to bless them with peace and sufficient grace. We might all quiet our heart and think carefully: Is belief in God the simplest thing in the world? Does belief in God only mean to receive plenty of grace? Could those who believe in God yet do not know God and who believe in God yet resist God satisfy God’s heart’s desire?

“God” and “man” cannot be compared with each other. His substance and his work are most unfathomable to man and most incomprehensible to man. If God did not personally work and speak among men, they could in no way understand his intention. In that case, even those who dedicate their life to God would not be commended by God. If God does not work, man’s best work is in vain, for God’s thoughts are always higher than man’s thoughts and God’s wisdom is unfathomable to any man. Therefore, I say that all those who “see through” God and God’s work are useless men and arrogant and ignorant men. Man should not draw any conclusion about God’s work. Besides, man is unable to draw any right conclusion about God’s work. In God’s eyes, man is even tinier than an ant, so how could he fathom God’s work? Aren’t all those who proclaim repeatedly, “God will not work like this. God will not work like that” and “God is like this. God is like that,” the ones who speak arrogant words? We all should be aware that fleshly men have all been corrupted by satan and they all resist God by nature and cannot have an equal footing with God, much less give God counsel on his work. How God leads man is God’s own work. Man should obey it and should not hold this or that opinion about it, for man is only dust. Since we have the desire to seek God, we should not present our notions to God for him to consult in his work, and even less should we consciously resist God’s work greatly by our corrupt nature. Aren’t those who do so antichrists? Are such people believing in God? Since we believe that there is a God and wish to satisfy God and see God, we should seek the way of truth and seek the way that is in harmony with God and should not be stiff-necked and stand in opposition to God. What fruit can we reap from doing that?

Now God has again done a new work. Maybe you cannot accept this word or maybe you feel amazed at it. However, I advise you to first not show anything of your natural constitution, for only a person who truly hungers and thirsts for righteousness before God can receive the truth and only a person who is truly devout can receive God’s inspiration and guidance. We won’t obtain any result in seeking the truth by arguing and disputing but will only obtain a result by seeking it quietly and peacefully. When I say, “Now God has again done a new work,” I mean that God has returned in the flesh again. Maybe you are indifferent to this word, maybe you are disgusted with it, or maybe you are very interested in it. In any case, I hope that all those who sincerely thirst after God’s appearing can face this fact and carefully investigate this fact. Better not draw a rash conclusion about it. This is what a wise person should do.
